I found this vintage dress at the thrift store in San Diego. That's what it looked like:
The dress itself, obviously can not be worn nowadays, but I really loved the fabric on the top of the dress: beaded and sequined. So, I separated it from the dress:
Here is the choices of the lining: I picked the silk crepe vanilla colored fabric, which also once was a dress.
Sewing the inside pocket, original to the dress:
I made the lining of the bag with double layer of the grosgrain fabric, reinforced with interfacing for holding the shape. Here I am applying the zipper. the beaded fabric had to be sewn by hand on the outside.
